As a locally-based contractor, we believe in giving back to a community that continually supports us. The following are few of our service projects that have taken place throughout the year.

On October 10th, 14 L.F. Driscoll Co. employees participated in the annual Alzheimer’s Memory Walk, raising $1,900. The Memory Walk has been a national fund-raising event since 1989. Nation-wide, the campaign has raised more than $100 million for Alzheimer’s programs and services through the work of over 400 communities.

The money raised by L.F. Driscoll walkers is donated to the Delaware Valley Alzheimer’s Association Chapter. It will provide for Alzheimer Help lines, support groups and education programs. By participating in the walk, L.F. Driscoll employees and all participants are raising public awareness and understanding of Alzheimer’s disease, encouraging public support to fight against it.

During the United Way Campaign of 2004 74 employees participated, raising $26,226 of support for the Philadelphia region.

But L.F. Driscoll doesn't just care about the Delaware Valley. After the devastation of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita, 63 L.F. Driscoll Co. employees, together with donations from the board of directors, raised $14,850 to aid in the relief effort.

In addition to community events so far this year, L.F. Driscoll Co. will participate in the upcoming Toys for Tots campaign, where employees will no doubt continue the tradition of filling more than a few barrels of toys to give area children a needed smile this holiday season.
